Privacy
This policy explains what happens to your information when you visit this website or get in touch with us through it. It is written in plain language on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email us at everlane@merto.ai and we will explain it.
Who we are
Everlane Digital runs this website. Enquiries sent through the contact form go to our inbox at everlane@merto.ai.
What you give us
There is one place on this site where you can give us information: the contact form for a free site review. It asks for your name, your email address, and your message. You can also tell us your business name and your current website address if you want us to look at it. We use what you type there to answer you, and nothing else about you is collected alongside it.
The form has a consent checkbox that you have to tick before you can send it. Ticking it means you agree that we may reply to you about what you sent. That is the only thing it means, and it does not sign you up to anything.
There is no phone number field on this form, so we do not collect phone numbers here.
How the contact form works
When you press send, your message is turned into a single email and delivered to Everlane Digital's own inbox. The reply address on that email is set to the address you entered, so when we answer you, the reply goes directly back to you. If you gave us an email address, we also send you a short confirmation so you know the message arrived.
That is the whole process. Your message is not added to a customer database, it is not scored or sorted by software, and no automated assistant reads it or answers it. A person reads your email and a person replies.
What this site does not do
This site has no live chat, no text messaging, no phone or call handling, no call recording, no booking or scheduling system, no accounts to create, and no payments taken on it. If a policy on another website told you it does any of those things, it was not this one.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, which sets a first-party analytics cookie and collects usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device, and which links get clicked) so we can see how visitors move through the site. It is aggregated measurement, not advertising, and we do not run cross-site tracking or sell any of it. Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) this kind of basic, non-identifying measurement runs on implied consent, which means you are not asked to opt in. You can opt out at any time through your browser settings, by blocking or deleting cookies, or by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on.
How long we keep things
Your enquiry lives in our email inbox, and we keep it as long as we need it to answer you and to keep a reasonable record of the conversation. We also keep a delivery record of the emails our system sends, showing that a message went out and whether it was accepted, so an enquiry that fails to arrive can be found rather than lost silently.
To stop automated abuse of the form, the network address a submission came from is counted for a short window before being discarded. It is used for nothing else.
Who else handles your information
We use outside providers to host this website and to deliver email. They process information on our behalf, under their own terms, so that the site loads and your message arrives. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email everlane@merto.ai and we will handle it. If you asked us a question and then changed your mind, telling us to delete the thread is enough.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top always shows the most recent revision.
